Tragacanth
The situation is still very problematic –prices continue increasing. An
improvement is expected in the 4th quarter 2005 at the earliest.
Acacia
All indications are that the crops did not bring the desired quantities in
the countries of origin. Having had a very problematic year already 2004, we
expect for this year very high prices.
Xanthan
Due to enlarged capacities and the favorable USD exchange rate, the prices
on Euro basis are still on a record trough.
Ascorbic acid
Due to enlarged capacities in China the product is again offered at a
favorable and stabile price level. Because of the current Euro/Dollar exchange
rate ascorbic acid is as favorable as it has not been for quite a long time.
Vanilla Beans
Prices continuously going down. Lot of vanilla beans lying unsold in India.
Now again after long time its buyer market.
